Clusters of trees and dense foliage line the water and extend across the plains toward the hills, with several taller, slender trees grouped near the center right. In the left foreground there is a rough structure with vertical and horizontal lines suggesting a building edge and a canopy or roof detail, and a tall tree trunk rises near that structure with loose outlines of branches and leaves. The foreground shows textured ground, low shrubs, and suggested vegetation along a fence or hedge line, and the sky area is mostly blank with light pencil shading.
