Trees with loose, feathery foliage stand behind and between the buildings, their outlines rendered with light, repeated strokes. Toward the left, a windmill with angled sails is visible near the horizon, accompanied by additional small trees and low structures. The foreground is mostly open, lightly shaded ground with faint marks suggesting a path or road leading toward the buildings. The overall tone is pale with delicate, sparse pencil lines and areas of soft shading.
