One robed figure in front holds a staff and faces slightly toward the left. Lower on the right a shirtless man with a beard and a surprised expression gestures with his hands. Near the bottom and left foreground, musicians blow long curved horns and a seated figure plays a trumpet. Further back along the shore small groups of people wade, carry items, and gather around a hoisted object and a raft, with tiny figures visible on a platform over the water. The drawing is rendered in fine pen lines on a pale, even-toned background.
