Several people lean out from the building’s balconies and look down at the crowd. In the foreground a few figures are kneeling or crouching, and others stride toward the central group. The background shows more buildings with windows and torch-like street fixtures, and the ground is rendered with stippling and hatchwork. The entire scene is composed of fine etched lines and crosshatching.
