The figure has medium-length hair with short bangs, a high collar, and a scarf or cravat tied around the neck beneath a dark coat with broad lapels. The face is rendered with fine cross-hatching, showing neutral features and a direct gaze. The rectangular frame surrounding the portrait has ornamental edging with repeating geometric patterns and rests on a molded shelf above a carved pedestal with vertical fluting and an oval recessed panel. The surrounding area displays dense linework and cross-hatched shading.
