Amsterdam: Johannes Allart, 1786-1809., Person, Nicolaas Cornelis Lambrechtsen van Ritthem, An engraved portrait of a man shown from the chest up within an oval frame, rendered in fine parallel and cross-hatched lines, depicting him with a high forehead, swept-back hair that curls at the sides, and an alert expression with slightly raised eyebrows and a closed mouth; he wears a high-collared coat with rows of rounded buttons and a large, ruffled cravat at his neck, and the oval sits against a textured rectangular background above a blank rectangular panel, all executed in monochrome engraving.
