Amsterdam: Johannes Allart, 1786-1809., Person, Pieter Jan Marcus, A framed engraved portrait of an older man with curled hair, visible from the chest up, wearing a collared coat and a cravat, his face turned slightly toward the viewer with a neutral expression; the frame is ornate with patterned borders and is set against a textured background, mounted above a decorative plinth with carved molding and a recessed panel, and a small tuft of grass at the base.
