He has short wavy hair and a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. He wears a high ruffled collar and ornate armor with decorative rivets and engraved patterns on the shoulder plate. A medallion hangs from a cord around his neck, resting against his chest plate. The oval frame is mounted on a rectangular plinth with a recessed oval panel. Fine parallel line shading fills the background and the armor, and crosshatching provides texture throughout the image.
