Amsterdam: Johannes Allart, 1786-1809., Person, Jan Bernd Bicker, A black and white engraved portrait shows a man in profile facing left, framed within an ornate rectangular picture frame; he has a powdered hairstyle gathered at the back, a high collar with decorative trim, and layered clothing with textured shading; the frame sits above a carved pedestal with horizontal lines and an oval recessed panel, and draped fabric with folds and crosshatching cascades from the top right across the frame and over the pedestal.
