Amsterdam: Johannes Allart, 1789-1809., (story of) Coriolanus, (story of) Alcibiades, (story of) Pericles, (story of) Quintus Fabius Maximus Cunctator, A detailed engraved scene showing three oval medallion portraits mounted on a stone wall, each containing a sculpted head in profile or three-quarter view; the top medallion displays a bearded man facing right with short wavy hair and a draped garment at his shoulders, the lower left medallion shows a clean-shaven younger man in profile facing right with short hair and a simple drape at his neck, and the lower right medallion presents an older bearded man wearing a cap and a strap across his chest, looking slightly upward. The stone wall has horizontal courses and textured hatching, with ornamental grasses and small plants at the ledges, a round shield or disk leaning against the wall near the top, and tree branches with leaves extending into the scene from the right side, while a hint of classical architectural forms appears in the background behind the foliage.
