Figures wearing draped garments and tunics strain and reach forward with spears and ropes toward a large wild boar at the center, its bristled body and open snout prominent. Several men grasp ropes tied around the boar or hold spears poised to strike, their muscles and tense expressions visible. A man on horseback raises a spear from the right side, the horse rearing slightly and showing a wide eye and flowing mane. Dogs and other animals appear amid the crowd, some at the foreground near fallen carcasses and entangled limbs. Trees with textured trunks and leafy branches frame the upper corners, and a cloudy sky fills the space above the central action. The foreground includes tangled vegetation and detailed ground textures, and one figure at the lower right appears to be holding a drinking vessel while leaning back among the others.
