Around the base of the trees and across the foreground are various animals including reclining and standing deer with visible antlers, several dogs or wolf-like animals in different poses, and a lion positioned near a stone archway or grotto set into a rocky bank. Background hills and dense stand of trees frame the scene, and the ground features tufts of grass and scattered rocks. The lower portion of the image contains rectangular bands with ornamental motifs and blocks of handwritten-style text.
