The women wear flowing classical garments with visible folds and drapery, braided and curled hairstyles, and bare feet on the steps. Behind them a Corinthian column and the facade of a building with pediment and recessed panels are visible. To the right, a cloud formation contains two seated female figures and a face blowing rays, and the landscape beyond shows rolling hills, scattered trees, and a small sailing vessel on the water. The scene is rendered in fine engraved lines with shading and crosshatching.
