These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., harbour, sea (seascape), ships (in general) (getting in, mounting, embarkation), city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions - II - ideal landscapes, the pilgrimage of St. Ursula and her companions to Rome, A sepia-toned drawing shows a waterfront scene with classical architecture on the left featuring large round columns and a stepped platform where a group of women in long flowing dresses stand and converse, some facing toward the water. In the center foreground a small boat with a seated figure is tied to the dock while another figure gestures with an arm raised. To the right tall sailing ships with rigging and furled sails are moored near a quay lined with trees and a small building, and smaller rowboats are visible on the water. In the background ornate buildings with domes and spires recede toward the horizon beneath a sky filled with soft, billowing clouds.
