These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., Mary Magdalene kneeling before Christ, who is usually represented as a gardener with a hoe and, or a spade, 'Noli me tangere', city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions, mountains, the cross(es) in the background, Jerusalem, Golgotha, A sepia-toned landscape drawing showing tall, leafy trees on both sides framing an open middle distance with a distant river or valley and clustered buildings. A steep grassy hill rises on the right with a small rocky outcrop and figures near its base, and a flat, shaded foreground on the left where two women stand and kneel near a small dog and a bottle, one woman holding a staff. Fences and low vegetation punctuate the middle ground, and the sky is lightly sketched with horizontal strokes.
