These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., sailing-ship, sailing-boat, sea (seascape), ships (in general) (getting in, mounting, embarkation), the departure from the harbour of Caesarea, Paul's journey to Rome, A sepia-toned drawing shows a coastal scene with tall classical columns on the left, several sailing ships with masts and flags in the water, and a large leafy tree cluster on a rocky shore near the center. Small rowboats and larger boats carry groups of people, some standing and some seated, with a few figures shown on the dock or shoreline. Figures wear long garments and some hold staffs or poles. The sky contains a few small birds and light cloud lines, and the foreground includes stone steps, scattered blocks, and a low ledge along the water.
