A herd of cattle stands and wades near the water, and small human figures are scattered along the bank and among the trees, some sitting and some standing in groups. Wispy, layered clouds fill the sky, and a few birds are visible in flight. Vegetation and rocky outcrops fringe the foreground, and the composition emphasizes a sweeping view from the trees toward the distant shoreline.
