These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards: Jupiter, in the guise of Diana, and Callisto, low hill country - HH - ideal landscapes, A sepia-toned landscape drawing shows large, leafy trees with dense, rounded canopies occupying the left and central upper areas, their trunks and branches rendered with flowing lines and shaded washes; beneath the trees two women in flowing dresses sit on the ground facing each other, one reaching out toward the other as their skirts and hair are softly detailed; to the right a gently sloping hill and distant low mountains frame a small cluster of buildings near a body of water, with a few birds sketched in the sky; foreground vegetation includes bushes, grasses, and scattered rocks, and subtle shading suggests paths and undulating terrain throughout the scene.
