A path runs past the bridge toward clustered trees with dense canopies, tall slender trunks, and a large central tree with spreading branches. Ruined classical columns and an archway appear to the left, with small buildings and rounded towers behind them. Figures in simple garments are visible near the ruins and along the path. To the right a draped curtain hangs from a tree beside a rocky foreground, and a distant shoreline with ships and low hills is visible beneath a clouded sky.
