These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., riding a horse, ass, or mule, rider, horseman, assembling, 'départ pour la chasse', A sepia ink drawing showing several figures and horses on a wooded path, with tall trees and sweeping branches to the right and a distant landscape with cliffs and a body of water in the background. Three mounted figures occupy the center, two facing forward and one turned toward them, all wearing period clothing and headgear, while a standing man at the horses' heads holds a long staff and gestures toward the right. Two other standing figures appear at the left edge, one carrying a bundle over the shoulder and another holding a halberd-like weapon. The horses are drawn with detailed musculature and bridles, and the ground beneath them shows textured lines, exposed roots, and a fallen log in the foreground. Shaded ink washes add depth to the figures and trees, and fine hatch marks define foliage, clothing folds, and distant terrain.
