These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., sailing-ship, sailing-boat, landscapes with waters, waterscapes, seascapes (in the temperate zone), harbour (number of persons, traffic and transport), A sepia-toned waterfront scene showing a large sailing ship moored beside a stone quay, its tall masts, rigging, and billowing sails prominent in the center; to the left a classical portico with columns, arches, balustrade, urns, and a figure standing on the roof partially obscured by large leafy trees; on the right a fortified stone tower and distant harbor with smaller boats and masts; in the foreground three shirtless men carrying heavy bundles toward the water and a small rowboat with a standing figure; seagulls fly in the sky above and faint cloud lines stretch across the background.
