These prints were published in two volumes from 1777 onwards., harbour, sunset, ships (in general) - CC - more than one ship, A coastal scene rendered in sepia tones shows a stone quay with classical columns and urns on a terrace at left, tall ships with masts and rigging moored nearby, and small rowboats on calm water; people in period clothing stand, sit, and work along the shore and on the pier, some carrying or handling barrels and sacks while others converse or row; distant fort-like buildings rise from the water at right, and the sky is filled with large, billowing clouds and shafts of light breaking through, with a few sailing vessels visible on the horizon.
