To the left of the figure, rifles lean against the wall near a tall archway. The ground is cobbled with varying hatch marks, and a shadow from the figure falls on the wall. In the background a row of tall, closely packed buildings with sloped roofs rises along the alley, and a small ledge or table on the right holds a cup or vessel. The image is rendered with dense cross-hatching and fine line work throughout.
