In the foreground two cloaked figures stand on a simple wooden footbridge over a narrow water channel, while a small barefoot figure walks along a path near an arched entrance to the complex. Tall trees flank the left side, and tufts of grass and reeds grow by the water. The sky above is filled with layered, billowing clouds and a scattering of small flying birds. The scene includes fine line shading and hatching throughout the architecture, figures, vegetation, and sky.
