In the foreground a broad shoreline and shallow water contain small boats, a sailboat near a ramped stone quay, and groups of tiny human figures walking or standing on paths and sand. The sky above is sparsely filled with fine horizontal hatch lines suggesting clouds, and a decorative double-lined border frames the scene.
