In front of the building is a courtyard bordered by high walls, with a doorway set into the building through which several small figures are visible; a few figures stand or sit in the courtyard wearing long dresses and coats, and a small dog is on the ground. Trees with dense foliage flank one side of the courtyard, and benches are placed along a wall where a pair of seated figures are depicted. The sky above is filled with finely hatched clouds and textured shading.
