In the foreground a group of sheep lies and stands on the ground, some curled up and some looking outward. A standing cow faces to the right near the sheep, and another smaller animal stands beside it. A seated figure rests against the shelter or a wooden barrier, leaning on one arm. Tall trees with textured trunks frame the left side, one with a small platform or nest attached, and a few bare-branched trees appear on the right. Low rolling vegetation and scattered shrubs fill the middle ground, while a sky with delicate horizontal hatch marks and a couple of flying birds occupies the background.
