Amsterdam: Hendrik Bosch, 1721., ruin of a dwelling, house, castle, landscape with ruins (city(-scape) with figures, staffage), Haarlem, Huis ter Kleef, A sepia-toned engraving shows tall crumbling stone ruins with vertical lines and rough textured surfaces, fragments topped with small tufts of vegetation and surrounded by low plants and small trees; the sky is filled with horizontal hatch marks and scattered small birds, and near the base of the ruins there are small human figures walking on a gently undulating foreground with areas of grass and rocky ground.
