The seated woman looks down at the child with a gentle expression, her hair covered by a headscarf and her clothing depicted with flowing drapery and fine shading. The standing woman behind them smiles slightly, her hair partly covered and one hand supporting the child. The older man on the right has a furrowed brow and rests his chin on one hand while the other hand gestures toward the group. Architectural elements with arches and block-like molding form the background, and the image is rendered with dense crosshatching and finely detailed line work.
