Rijn 5037-26', Southern Netherlands, 1778 - 1790, printmaker, paper, etching, engraving, height 88 mm x width 159 mm, A long rectangular table covered with a cloth fills the foreground, set with plates, platters, and eating utensils. Seated and standing along one side of the table are a group of people in period clothing with powdered wigs and formal coats and dresses, their hands resting on the table or clasped, with varied facial expressions and hairstyles. Behind them more figures stand, some holding long staffs or utensils. At the far right, two men stand in a doorway; one faces the table holding a small cup, while the other leans close behind him with an arm around his shoulders. The room has vertically lined walls and a wooden floor with visible planks. The image is rendered in fine line etching with monochrome tones.
