In the top scene there is a road flanked by trees and wooden fences, an octagonal pavilion with a domed roof and a weather vane on one side, and a gabled brick house with a chimney on the other; people and a horse appear near a shaded area under trees and livestock stand by a fence. The middle scene depicts a rural cluster of low buildings with pitched roofs and chimneys near trees, a windmill rising behind foliage, figures working and walking in the foreground, and a shoreline with small animals and scattered objects. The bottom scene shows open fields with grazing cattle in front, a row of houses with stepped gables and chimneys, fenced yards with people standing and interacting, and distant low hills beneath a sky with scattered clouds.
