On the left shore there are low trees and shrubs drawn with fine lines, and a larger rounded stain of darker pigment covers part of the sky above them. In the center distance a small boat with a reclining figure is on the water and groups of small birds fly above. The right side is dominated by tall, detailed trees with textured foliage and visible trunks, a grassy bank with clustered undergrowth, and a standing human figure near the water's edge. The sky is filled with horizontal, linear hatching and faint cloud shapes, and the overall image has an aged paper look with uneven discoloration.
