In the foreground along the water’s edge, a stepped quay and a low stone wall border the moat where swans float and a small pavilion stands on a platform. People walk and gather on a tree-lined path beside the moat, some near a small bridge leading to the building and others standing or bending over the water; a dog is visible among them. Rows of trees extend into the background behind the building, and larger leafy trees frame both sides of the scene. The sky above is filled with horizontal hatch shading and scattered clouds, with a flock of birds visible above the central tower.
