Symmetrical garden beds with low hedges and planted squares flank the central path leading to the obelisk, and small trees and sculpted topiary appear along the walkways. Two pavilion-like structures with domed roofs and decorative façades are visible behind the hedged enclosures, and a multi-story building with arched openings stands to one side. Groups of small human figures wearing long coats and cloaks walk or stand near the base of the obelisk and along the paths. In the background a range of rocky hills rises behind the garden, and the scene is rendered in fine, linear engraving with delicate crosshatching and stippling.
