Julius Caesar, (story of) Aesculapius (Asclepius), Three standing male figures and a small cloaked child are drawn in a sketchy engraving style on a light background, each on a rectangular pedestal. The left figure wears draped robes with sandals, holds a rolled object in one hand and rests the other hand by his side, with short curly hair and a calm facial expression. The central figure is bearded, partly draped with a cloth around his waist and shoulder, one hand on his hip and the other gripping a tall staff entwined by a long sinuous form, with the small cloaked child standing at his feet looking forward. The right figure is a mostly nude young man with a draped cloth over one shoulder and across his arm, holding a round object in one hand and resting the other arm by his side, with short hair and a relaxed stance. The composition includes fine line shading, visible contours of musculature and folds of fabric, and a plain unadorned background.
