Parts one and two appeared in 1612. The third part appeared in 1615 and part four appeared in 1628. In 1637, Vitale Mascardi published the first reissue of the entire set with numbering., temple, shrine, Roman religion, Temple of Venus Genetrix, Forum of Caesar, A black and white architectural engraving of a classical temple façade with a stepped platform leading to a portico supported by tall columns topped with decorative capitals and a triangular pediment; flanking the central entrance are recessed niches and rounded towers with brick-like hatch shading and small arched openings; above the main cornice is a second tier with a row of arched recesses beneath a large curved dome-like roof capped by a small standing figure holding a draped cloth; a low wall extends horizontally behind the temple with rows of stylized trees rising above it on both sides; the foreground shows textured ground shading and the entire scene is enclosed by a thin rectangular border.
