Volumes one and two appeared in 1612. The third volume appeared in 1615 and volume four appeared in 1628. In 1637, Vitale Mascardi published the first reissue of the entire set with numbering., temple, shrine, Roman religion, Tempio della Pace, A detailed engraved architectural drawing of a classical temple seen in perspective, showing a rectangular brick building with a pitched roof and a domed semicircular apse on one side, a tall colonnaded portico with ornate Corinthian capitals at the front, a triangular pediment decorated with reclining and seated human figures and sculpted creatures along its edges, freestanding statues positioned on pedestals in front of and between the columns, a central doorway framed by decorative relief and a niche with sculptural figures above it, a stepped platform leading up to the portico, evenly spaced arched windows along the side wall, horizontal shading lines indicating texture on the roof and walls, and a wide band of dense printed text occupying the lower portion of the sheet.
