She is surrounded by Concord, Navigation, Arts, Plenty, Trade, and Husbandry. On top of the clouds sit Eternity with the snake Ouroboros and Hope with the anchor. London: Hinton, John, 1748. Print originating from a scrapbook containing title prints, ornaments, etc. on blue paper, disassembled in 1983. According to a note on the verso, the print was located on p. 210 from this album., symbols, allegories of peace, 'Pax', 'Pace' (Ripa), Eternity, 'Aeternitas', 'Eternità', 'Eternità o Perpetuità' (Ripa), Hope, 'Speranza', 'Speranza delle fatiche' (Ripa), A tall vertical engraving shows a classical scene with figures arranged on clouds and on the ground, framed by a thin border. At the top two winged figures hold a large banner between them, beneath which a seated robed woman sits on a rounded platform surrounded by other standing and seated robed figures holding various attributes such as a staff, a wreath, a bowl, and a cluster of branches. Two reclining figures appear on clouds behind the central group, and rays of light emanate from behind them. In the upper left a winged figure blows a long trumpet while clouds and horizontal hatch shading fill the sky. Architectural or carved objects, rolled scrolls, a shield, and a book lie at the base near the central seated figure.
