In the foreground the riverbank displays rippling water and reflections, with a tall ornate street lamp standing near the edge. On the right a skeletal industrial crane and warehouse structure rise above the bank, while small indistinct human figures and clusters of shapes occupy the riverside near the crane and along the distant shore. The overall image is composed of dense cross-hatching and subtle tonal variations.
