David Teniers probably produced an oil study on canvas or panel (so-called pasticcio) of all the paintings in the collection of Leopold William of Austria, which served as a model for the printmakers. It is not always clear whether the pasticci were made by him or by his studio. Not all pasticci have survived., murderer, A detailed black and white engraving shows two figures in close proximity, one facing away with short wavy hair and a patterned garment, the other's face turned toward the viewer with long curly hair and a leafy wreath on the head; the visible face has a neutral expression with clear eyes and defined features, while the turned figure's arm rests on the other's shoulder and a hand holds a partially visible cylindrical object; the clothing displays elaborate folds and textured shading, and the background is densely stippled creating a dark backdrop around the figures.
