It is not always clear whether the pasticci were made by him or by his studio. Not all pasticci have survived., Tobias tells Tobit of a dead man in the street, A monochrome engraving shows a scene on a raised platform in an architectural courtyard with columns and a flight of stepped ledges in the background. Two standing men in period clothing lean toward each other near the platform edge; one has a beard and a cloak, the other reaches down with an arm extended. A dog stands between their legs, looking toward the platform edge. A prone figure lies face up across the platform with arms outstretched and a displaced garment exposing the torso. To the right, a seated woman with a head covering holds a cloth while a man and another small figure stand nearby. On the left, two men converse behind a low wall, and a small sculpted figure clings to a vertical surface beside a column. The composition is rendered with fine crosshatching and line work, and the surrounding area includes masonry textures and sparse vegetation on the platform edge.
