Two dogs stand at the figures' feet, one facing forward and the other turned to the side. A large tree with dense foliage fills the right background while a smaller tree and undulating landscape appear to the left under a sky with layered clouds and slanted rays. A draped cloth and a fallen jug lie near the seated lower area of the composition.
