Several figures wear traditional robes and hats, some carrying long poles with small flags or standards, while one central figure sits on a horse holding a staff and wearing an elaborately patterned robe and a tall hat. An elephant with a patterned covering stands amid attendants who hold its reins and carry fans, and a few figures walk alongside holding banners or tools. Additional people stand or bow nearby, one leaning on a cane, and another figure with a sword at their side faces away. Two riders on horseback are visible in the background to the right, moving away along a path lined with low bushes. Dogs move among the people, and decorative plants and small flowers appear along the bottom edge of the scene.
