In front of the pavilion a bowed figure faces away, and nearby two women in traditional dress stand on a terrace railing by the water, one holding a slender object and the other with hands extended. A gnarled tree with sparse needles extends overhead toward the water where a distant building with a tiered roof sits on the far bank. Birds are drawn in flight above the river, a willow-like tree grows on the right bank, and rocks and plants line the shoreline with stylized rippling water and lotus flowers visible near the bottom edge.
