Print is part of an album., printmaker: Pieter Schenk (II), Amsterdam, 1727 - 1775, paper, etching, height 165 mm x width 262 mm, Chinese, A monochrome line drawing shows a landscape with a mountain and pavilion by water in the background, a bird in flight near the center, and stylized trees and plants along the right side. In the foreground a man wearing a hat and traditional clothing walks while carrying a tall pole balanced on his shoulder that supports a round platform; a seated figure in loose robes sits cross-legged on that platform with arms outstretched. Two women in patterned robes are present, one standing near a rock and plants on the left and the other seated on a bench on the right with one hand resting on her torso. Decorative railings and a low wall run across the middle ground, and various small rocks, foliage, and patterned ground details fill the scene.
