The floral arrangement includes large layered blossoms, round petaled flowers, elongated seed heads, clusters of small round buds on thin stems, and broad leaves, all rendered in fine black linework. Two long-legged birds with crested heads flank the vase, one on each side, showing detailed feather patterns on their bodies and slender necks and legs. A small bird in flight appears near the top right, wings spread and beak open, and fine border lines frame the entire composition.
