One bird faces upward with its beak open and a patterned body including striped tail feathers, while the other faces forward with a crest and detailed wing and body markings. The branches curve and twist, bearing clusters of blossoms with rounded petals and visible stamens, and smaller buds and leaves scattered along the stems. Fine stippling and hatching provide texture on the birds and branches, and a thin border frames the entire composition.
