Print is part of an album., printmaker: Pieter Schenk (I), Amsterdam, after print by anonymous, 1702, after print by, paper, etching, height 270 mm x width 115 mm, tea-pot, samovar, A vertical sheet with three horizontal sections containing line drawings of decorative objects on a light, slightly speckled background; the top section shows a rounded teapot with a scalloped lid topped by a curled animal figure, a bamboo-like spout and handle, and a cluster of small berries on one side; the middle section shows a wider teapot with a floral knob on its lid, a bamboo-style spout with leaves, and an ornate textured handle with starburst-like motifs; the bottom section shows a tripod censer with a carved lion or foo dog reclining on a layered cushion atop the vessel, which rests on three curved legs; faint ruled borders separate the sections and the drawings are rendered in delicate, uniform ink lines.
