Albert Christoph Dies (1755-1822) and Jacob Wilhelm Mechau (1745-1808) also produced 24 plates, commissioned by Jean Fréderic Frauenholz. From 1792 onwards, three sets of two prints per artist were published at a time. The last set was published in 1798, after which complete bound sets were published until 1875 (Nuremberg: JL Lotzbeck). Vegetation grows atop parts of the ruin and rocky debris surrounds its base, with large irregular boulders in the foreground. A figure stands beside a pack animal near the rocks, and another smaller figure is seated on the ground near the left edge. The sky is filled with horizontal lined shading and scattered clouds, and a distant low mountain range appears on the horizon beyond the ruin.
