Below the writing, a horizontal view of a walled town is rendered in fine ink lines, featuring varied rooflines, domes, towers, and a very tall, slender tower rising above the other buildings. The wall in front has a large arched gateway and smaller openings, with a suggestion of water or ground beyond the wall. Small human figures are sketched near the wall and gateway. The drawing uses light and dark hatchwork to indicate texture and shadow, and the overall paper has a worn, aged appearance with uneven coloration.
